Wheel choice for 1959 Apache Fleetside
Hi Guys,
I tried to search for "fleetside wheels" but got basically all threads ever started as result.... 😃 I wanted to aske here about wheel choices for my 1959 Chevy Apache Fleetside. The frame work is finished within a few months, and I want to have the wheels ready to get the frame rolling. I am leaning towards 19"/20", and like this type of wheel: http://www.hotrod.com/articles/1959-...-for-40-years/ I know I can buy these wheels, but if I read the price correct the rims only is $6000. That is too much for me. So I wanted to ask here for any advice on where to look? Is there a popular choice here on the message board? Btw, what offset do you guys here run on your wheels? Regards, Johan |

I believe Jeff Greening owns that truck and made those wheels hisself...Greening auto company is just a hop skip and jump from where I live.....notice it says "custom wheels"....those are one off wheels...anything custom or one off is going to be pricey...go here and look around at wheels..they have lots and lots of wheels..https://www.performanceplustire.com/...E7IaAu5G8P8HAQ

If you're looking for an aftermarket wheel, check AZ Performance Plus. They are a vendor on this site and sell numerous brands of wheels at reasonable prices.

Those are nice, but they look like a real PITA to clean. American Racing Torque Thrust II's are very popular as a budget conscious wheel. I have 18 and 20 on my 57. I will caution you that tire rubbing will most likely be an issue depending on your setup.
