Newbie Carb question
Does anyone know what the factory choke was on this set up? It is a 72 c10 with a 307 and rochester 2g carb. Any help is appreciated. Suggestions are also welcome.

Re: Newbie Carb question
My 68 with that setup has a manual choke. Is there a spot on the dash for it?

Re: Newbie Carb question
If it was a manual choke carb the cable hook up would be on the drivers side.
Yours looks like a divorced choke set up like in this link. http://www.chevelles.com/techref/Adj...tic_Chokes.htm Your coil, linkage and choke pull off are missing along with a modified choke pull off plate. Do you have a pic of the drivers side? |

Re: Newbie Carb question
and another one
my carb is part number 7042105/ 2141IM1 always a good idea to record that part number of YOUR carb as there are several carb rebuild kits out there and they are for different two bbl carbs. Its a Pain to buy the wrong kit several times just by guessing when you get to the parts counter. it works pretty reliably when cleaned up and lubed up properly witha good grade of LPS gun lube. if you need more pictures feel free to ask and I will gladly post them ditto on other aspects of the 72 c10's, mine is a 3 on the column long fleet. I went to Geezer99's recomended choke adjustment website and its an excellent site..thanks Geezer! hope it helps Last edited by mike16; 08-23-2017 at 07:23 PM. |

Re: Newbie Carb question
It looks like I have identified what type choke it is, now to locate one. My carb is the 7042105 and attached are pics. Not sure why they are upside down. I can't figure out how to rotate them.
