Re: Gauge cover.
Needs a resistor in the temp gauge. May turn into a bigger project than just the cover.
Maybe next weekend when it's not 105 out.

Re: Gauge cover.
You will need to remove the whole cluster to undo and reattach the tin with the gauges. If equipped with oil pressure gauge, this needs disconnected, unplug gauge wire plug. You will need to unbolt/ drop steering column for clearance.

Re: Gauge cover.
One in the same for removal. The cover screws hold the cluster in place. Have to pull headlight knob out of switch first, as well as wiper knob. Then remove cluster from behind cover.

Re: Gauge cover.
And the auto meter tach in the middle. And the trans temp in the lower blank hole.
This is going to be a project and a half.

Re: Gauge cover.
I had the same set-up, except SunTune tach, in my '72 when I bought it. I liked the trans temp. Makes more sense than a vacuum gauge. It would be cool to make one look like a factory gauge

The sun tach with a chrome bezel is exactly what I was thinking. And the autometer in there isn't even in the right area code. Shows 1500 at 75 with 700r4 and a 4.10 gear
