Re: OE radiator if any?????
I looked into this when I did my '53 on S10 frame and couldn't find any that would fit. I went with a universal Griffin from Summit, it was ~$175 and I thought that was a good price. They have another one the same price with a cooler built in.
Just another option if you cant find a stock one. https://www.summitracing.com/parts/GRI-1-25182-X

Re: OE radiator if any?????
You would have to do a lot of work to your inner fenders to use the S10 radiator. And then if you go V8, it probably won't be enough to cool it anyway.
This is what Chris suggests in his how-to and what I used: 19x22 Aluminum Cross-flow radiator - Speedway Motors - $116 Don't know how much you could save at the junkyard, but those are your rough dimensions. |

Re: OE radiator if any?????
Geez, for $119 I should have gone with that one... the one I used was 19x22 cross also.

Re: OE radiator if any?????
PS. I just noticed that the picture you posted above appears to show the radiator rotated 90 degrees. I've read that this won't work, but you can do your own research.

Re: OE radiator if any?????
The Griffin I have (along with the Summit brand w/ cooler) has a straight upper and an angled lower, in and up ~30 degrees(?). I'll have to get a straight water neck to make it work.

Re: OE radiator if any?????
i did a 47 and a 49 with the stock 4.3 rad (and stock 4.3) just have to open up the inners slightly, about 2 inches per side. (maybe it was 3 inches per side)
on my 41 I used a 60s mustang radiator from oreillys, I think it was $120 and had a trans cooler in it.
