64-66 factory with no heater?
I ran across this truck in a yard over the weekend. In 40 years of time around these trucks I've never seen one no heater controls to the left of the radio. Truck has a small aftermarket heater hung under the dash.

Re: 64-66 factory with no heater?
Heater was an option, even the Thrift Air one knob cheap heater. Whoever bought that truck new was a real penny pincher. I've seen a couple through the years down hear in the south, but it's unusual to see one where winters are colder I would think.

Re: 64-66 factory with no heater?
I've seen a few Heater Delete '60-63 trucks. They've got a block-off plate that looks like the ashtray face, but has bendable tabs on the back that hold it into the dash.
I've come across three over the years, two with plates that were savable, one with a plate that was rusted badly. -Brad

Re: 64-66 factory with no heater?
I remember when my dad bought his new 66 stepside, the only two things he added to the basic truck was a heater and a radio. So, yes they could have been bought without. Although that person must have been really watching his pennies. I can't imagine there are many out there.

Could also be a farm truck that was used only during harvest time?
I hope you grabbed that heater delete plate and the radio delete plate? Those are wanted items.

Re: 64-66 factory with no heater?
My truck came with one of those as well. No heater at all.
