'47-'50ish Door Measurement
Could I bother someone to grab a measurement for me? I'm wanting to know the height of a door from the bottom of the window to the bottom of the door on a '47 to (what ever is the same years) truck. In other words....if the door was off the truck leaning against the wall in the garage, from the floor to where you would rest your arm when out for a cruise. Thank You for any help, Lorne

Re: '47-'50ish Door Measurement
Well Thank You! As I mentioned in another post...I'm preparing for a build on a Studebaker M truck & they are a bit TALL looking even though the window area almost appears "chopped" compared to other parts of the truck. I have some plans to alter some of the body without losing the "Stude features" & just wanted an idea of where it compared to the GM truck since the length is very close. That number actually surprises me in that the 'baker door is only 32 1/2". I expected that it was likely 3" or TALLER than the GM truck. The 'baker does have a 4" or so tall "rocker panel" under the door which makes part of the TALL look. I have plans to eliminate that portion. I'll post the progress in the "alternative tinkering" section when I get moving on it. Thank You again for taking the time! Lorne
