Wiper motor is getting power but wipers won’t work.
New motor? New link assembly?

Re: Wiper motor is getting power but wipers won’t work.
Because you have two things not working I would start with the wipers. Check all the fuses, then the grounds. Then make sure the contacts in the plug are clean with no corrosion. If still no good, check the wiring diagram to find which terminal is power on the wiper motor and run a jumper wire from a 12 volt battery. If the motor runs it will be the switch. If this fixes the wipers but the blower motor still does not work,I would do the same with the blower motor. Hope this helps.

The wiper motor is grounded through the switch. If you have power to it try jumping the wire to the switch to ground. If the motor gos the problem is in the switch. Trace the heater wire with a test light. It should have current going to it when the ign. is turned on & the heater switch turned on.

I would check the ground straps from the engine and the frame, to the cab first to make sure the cab is grounded good. If you don't find any ground straps add some. Read the thread "Testing Windshield Wiper Motors" that is down below this one a ways. LockDoc

Re: Wiper motor is getting power but wipers won’t work.
the entire unit was getting power, and i found that the wipers work if i help them along sometimes with a little force. I used a whole lot of WD-40 on every connection on the linkage and that seemed to work. they have been working the last 6 times i have tried and they seem to be moving pretty well. thanks!

Grounds and continuity are the secrets to success with these trucks. Make sure all your grounds are making contact and put dielectric grease on all your contacts
