New OE 6 lug steel wheels

anyone try these new wheels from Wheel Vintiques?

https://www.wheelvintiques.com/wheel...ed-finish.html

Cant beat the price at $84 for 5.5", $87 for 7", $88 for 8", and $107 for 10"

Takes stock cap too!

If enough people show interest Summit will carry them and then you get free shipping!!!

Re: New OE 6 lug steel wheels

Its about time they released those wheels. I managed to find a set of the old army blazer 15x8's a couple years ago but took forever to find. This would have been a better option. Those OE style chevy chrome 10" caps are nice too.

Figures....I finally found a set of factory 8 inchers a couple months ago after looking forever. I'm glad these are available though....for the next one.

Re: New OE 6 lug steel wheels

I've been holding on to some 6 lugs off a 79 suburban.
I guess there's isn't a need now.

Re: New OE 6 lug steel wheels

Good to know that these steel wheels are available. It's possible to have OE style hubcaps on a wider steel wheel. Nice

Re: New OE 6 lug steel wheels

Summit shows them now but not at your prices. 15/8's are $113ea and 15days out. must be dropped shipped. The extra $25 ea probably is what wheel vintiques charges for shipping.

Re: New OE 6 lug steel wheels

Looks like the 15x8 is the only one with the higher price, makes sense as that would be the most popular size.

I inquired about a 16 in offering to allow more tire options for our old rigs but said they are not available.

Its nice for the company to see whats needed and take the steps and bring a part to market. I think a 16in 6 lug would sell

Has anyone used these with front disc brakes?

The 15 x 7s clear my 1970s Chevy disc brakes with no problem. However, I have 2" modular drop spindles from CPP. The inside wheel lip rubs slightly on the lower control arm when turning full lock in either direction. I ground down the control arms and got rid of problem.

Re: New OE 6 lug steel wheels

I like that these have the original style 3 nub/squared slot centers instead of the later four nub/straight slot centers. Looks more original that way, and matches original wheels if you want to run a staggered set.

Now if they'd only make an 8" version with a skinny drop center for the old "chrome reverse" look like I found for my old '66...

Backspacing on my 15 x 7 Wheel Vintiques Smoothie Series 12 is 4"

Backspacing on the 15 x 7 OE style Series 62 is 4.25"
