A-pillar problems? Help please.
So I've been fighting this area in my truck. What your looking at is the drivers lower a pillar. I'm thinking that the a pillar has twisted somehow. Has anyone else experienced this? I'm thinking the pillar should rest flat on the inner rocker.

Re: A-pillar problems? Help please.
Will the bolts pull it tight? Looks to me like they would.

Re: A-pillar problems? Help please.
Has the lower section of the pillar been replaced? How much of the outer floor has been replaced? Looks like it should draw up with the bolts as mentioned already.

Re: A-pillar problems? Help please.
The gap is like 1/2" I bolted some metal & tried to twist it. Didn't work so well. I guess I'll weld it up & try to bolt it back together. Thanks for the help.

Re: A-pillar problems? Help please.
I think I would bolt it together before I did any welding.

If it doesn't fit right adjust it until it does before any welding happens.

Re: A-pillar problems? Help please.
Somebody please correct if i'm wrong but doesn't the rocker panel go over the A pilar where yo have the three spot welds? Might be why its seems twisted, because your forcing it outwards. just a thought.

Looks like those welds have minimal penetration. Low setting and thick wire?

Re: A-pillar problems? Help please.
Got catch on the welds. That particular piece with the welds is not welded in place. That is the lower kick panel replacement piece. I haven't welded anything in yet. I'm trying to test fit everything before welding. I don't have the brace replaced yet so I can't bolt it up just yet. I can tell you that I bolted a piece of 1/4" bar to the lower post & tried to twist it back into submission, but the whole post moved. I'm going to try to bolt it in & then twist it. The whole thing is I don't remember anything being twisted when I took it apart.
