Re: WTB original glove box light switch.
These were not offered as an option to the public. I pulled one out of a 1968 suburban that was some government use vehicle. There is a thread on here somewhere that I replied to with a pic of it and the SPID. It's the only one I've seen. I'd consider selling it if you absolutely have to have a correct model and era piece.
I found the thread. http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...x+light+option Last edited by Chevy4Life; 01-09-2018 at 04:56 PM. |

Re: WTB original glove box light switch.
Hang onto that one. I'm not sure what you have. I'm just wanting an original one with the push button on the front and light bulb on the back. Because its probably built better than the reproduction ones. I bought a repro one and its already broke and the truck is not on the road yet. The repros are junk. Thank you.

Many GM vehicles into the 70s-80s used the same switch and can be found in scrapyards easily.

irl104 ,I am not trying to jump in front of you for the light.
I thought you might have found one since it took a few days for you to answer back.As far as I'm concerned the light is yours if you still want it. I will get in line behind you. BlueBoy72 |

Re: WTB original glove box light switch.
Blueboy,
I still have it, but it has a spliced wire, it has black tape wrapped around it and it has overspray on it. That's why he didn't want it. If you are interested in it , you won't be stepping on any toes. Just keep in mind, it is not in great condition Hope we ain't hijacking your post, keeping it bumped to the top, right,? |

Re: WTB original glove box light switch.
I have several used OEM ones, PM me and give me you shipping info and I'll send you one you'll have to splice the orange wire in though. Price is $0.00
If you want perfection, I have a NOS OEM dealer install complete kit. Instructions, box, switch, harness, the whole 9 yards. $125.00 plus the ride. It's the only one I've ever seen... PM me for pics, I still haven't figured out the pic posting thing... B/R, Randy |
