New Guy
Hi everyone! I joined this site a couple of weeks hoping to find a K30 for sale, but I found an '85 on CL and picked it up yesterday! I've been without a "square body" for 15 years. Anyways, I'm wanting to get it fixed up, so I'll be posting for parts and advice. Glad to be here!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: New Guy
A little rough, but runs really well. 454, 4 speed, 60 front, Probably 4:10 gears.

Re: New Guy
Yeah, I looked at a couple of really nice K20 & K30 pickups, but they were in the 10-12K range. Figured I could buy this one cheap, fix it up in a few years and I wouldn't have the big cash outlay all at once. Though will probably have 12K in it after everything is fixed. Right now I have more time than money. I can't seem to place an ad on this site, I'm guessing you have to have a certain # of posts before you can?

Re: New Guy
UMM... Put the truck on hold and lets see that GTO! Sorry guys... Building the truck to tow the GTO to car shows? Now that's a plan.

Re: New Guy
Yeah, it's a neat car, I'm the 5th owner, but the 4 previous ones didn't take very good care of it. The 1st owner sold the original 389 and tried to put in an early 60's 421, which didn't work out, so the car has sat since the mid 70's. The original tri power went missing next and the car was disassembled with nothing bagged or tagged. I bought it 3 years ago in pieces, ( NEVER AGAIN) after buying everything that was missing, it's now starting to look like a GTO again. I installed a good running 326 with a FORD top loader 3 speed (it was GTO option until the 3 speed muncie came out) so I can move it around the shop. It goes to the body shop in 2 weeks. I'll take a new photo today. I hope talking about a car on a truck website is allowed?
