Truckseat
Hi all!
I’m need to replace the seatcover in my -61 apache but now I’m not sure that it is a original seat... I found a tag on the back that says 63Reynolds on it with the number 3769167(not sure). Anyone know if it has been repaced or is it ”the one”? /Gustav Posted via Mobile Device |

Re: Truckseat
I agree that a picture would help to better identify your seat.

Re: Truckseat
I don't know for sure if it is a 1960 seat, but it does look like a '60-'66 seat.

Re: Truckseat
For reference, here are two photo's of the seat out of my 1963 C-10. There was a small black metal tag attached to the bottom springs with numbers and letters on it (SG 3769163 39). In Project's and Build's Sluggy's 1962 C20 post #7 has a photo of his seat that has the same style of seat cover as your seat.

Re: Truckseat
I did some fooling around with the contrast on the seat bottom to see the springs there. It looks like yours and JJ660 seat bottoms are the same. Standard seat, not the full foam custom option. As CaptainFab says its a 60-66 seat.

Re: Truckseat
Thats a GM part number 3769167 , book shows it as 1960-1963 seat back so either way you have a good seat for your truck.

Re: Truckseat
I was happy to dump the first two and finally put one in from a newer truck, a 40/20/40 with built in 3 point shoulder belts. The original didn't have a shred of fabric or burlap left because the gophers had had many years of unrestricted access through the rusted floor to it. The second one had been re-covered but the sag on the left had never been taken care of. That seat from an 06 (IIRC) Sierra only cost me $45.
