What headers are you using?
What are you recommending for a 65 small block with a 4 speed? I'd assume the auto headers are different because of the clutch mechanism

Re: What headers are you using?
I just bought some of of e-baaaaY for $120 for my 65 C10 with a 327. They were stainless and came with bolts, gaskets etc. I thought that was cheaper or at least as cheap as cermaic coating or painting my original ones.

Re: What headers are you using?
With a manual trans you will have to use either block huggers or Hedman 69260's. You can use Hedman 69090 or Hooker 2452 but those are a little tight around the clutch bellcrank.

Re: What headers are you using?
How do they affect the heat shields and plug wire routing that goes around the ram horns? Clear them?

Re: What headers are you using?
The Hedman 69260's are the closest to rams horn manifolds. I do not know how the factory heat shields and factory routed plug wires would work as I have never run those with these headers.

Re: What headers are you using?
I did the Hooker 2452 on mine with a TKO500 mated to a 350. Mechanical clutch, everything clears. Sounds really good, but keep in mind if you are lowered, or plan to lower, long tubes may not be a great choice. I have 2.5 inch drop spindles and if I'm not careful with speed bumps and some driveways I hit the headers. As long as I go slow over speed bumps I usually don't have a problem.
