Parking brake
Ok so my truck has 4 wheel drums, not a big deal but will eventually switch to disc brakes. My question is did Chevrolet put cables to all 4 drum brakes for the parking brake or just the rear. I have looked underneath my truck and it looks like I have them running to all 4 but 3 of them are seized and I'm not sure if they're factory or aftermarket. Any help would be great,
Thanks, Stephen |

Re: Parking brake
Parking brake front and rear! I don't think you have that. Can you post pics? It could be; but, someone would have had to put in a pulley system that pulls cable in both directions!

Re: Parking brake
I could very well be mistaken. When I was looking up under there though I am positive I saw an x of what looked like parking brake cables going to moth front and back. Will double check when I get some free time off work. And I'll probably be a few days on pics. Gotta wait for the mud to turn back to solid ground.

Re: Parking brake
Here's the best picture I have that shows what I described above. The rear cable in the picture is attached to the transmission cross member with a zip tie at the approximate location where the cable from the peddle would attach.
