Tire Sizes on Ralley Wheels

I picked up a set of what I call the Chevy pickup rally wheels. A pair 7 inch wide and a pair 8 inch wide. What would be a good size tire to run on them. I've googled around trying to see what size tire people are running on them but not really finding much. Would like to find a picture to see what they look like and then the tire size it is.

I run 235/75r15 Touring tires for highway use. You need to tell us HOW you will be using your truck.

slepysal , it looks like you have your front lowered. Do you still have the torsion bar suspension? Like the stance and the tire size..

Thanks I have drop spindle with the torsion bars cranked down a bit. Rides nice no rubbing.

Re: Tire Sizes on Ralley Wheels

255 / 275 wow those seem to me to be some wide tires. I was hoping to put something a little more common such as a 235/75 or something on the 8 wides. I am definately on a budget on this project. Also have my 57 2 door hardtop thats in the middle of a ful blown restoration thats devouring $$$. Theres a swap meet on Sunday and I was hoping to find something decent used.
Love the stance of the '65 but mine is a '60 with the torsion bars. I am guessing lowering it a little in the front would be out of the question with the original setup.

Re: Tire Sizes on Ralley Wheels

Good grief thats huge. How do you make it so the pictures come out the right size?
I have this set of four I picked up at an auction awhile back. They are all a kind of lite mint green. Thought they would look OK as is with my original dark forest green truck. Don't have alot in them at all, around $35 and a day of my life standing around at an auction all day. Course I did manage to haul home some other goodies....

I only got two trim rings and no caps so thats something else I will be in the market for.
