Will a 83-87 k5 blazer body bolt on a 78 2x4 frame?

H E L P . Please...., I have a 2 wheel drive 78 blazer, and a 2 wheel drive 76 blazer and im needing to know if a 83-87 blazer k5 body will bolt directly on the 76-78 chassis. I want to bolt up a newer body and keep the two wheel drive. any one know?
thx in advance, dave

Sorry I can't say for certain, but I think you are going to have better luck with the 78. 78 was the first year for the drop down footwell in the back seat. I believe they changed the body mounts on the frame to accommodate the redesign. Good luck.

That's the right answer. Floor changed in '78 and stayed same thru '91.
Should be a bolt on.

ahhh. I see the difference. the footwell is larger on the 78. so I think I will re-build the 78 frame and look for a 78-91 rust free body. thx dave
