Help me understand these visors

I have this set of visors. 2 questions:
1. What color is this?
2. Where is the rest of the rod? Notice where I’m pointing, in one pic, is where the rod ends.
I thought the rod was one piece.
Was there ever a two piece system? Or
Was there ever a year, or more, that the rod didn’t go all the way thru?
Thanks
Marc

Re: Help me understand these visors

I thought so as well. I worked and pushed the rod from the bracket end but it didn’t move the other end at all which seems to indicate there is somewhat of a gap or something else going on. But I also can’t feel a break or week spot in the rod.

Interesting... i found a couple at the salvage yard where the visor were rotted off and they were solid rods too...

I'm pretty sure the blazer's are 2 pieces you're just missing the other end.

Re: Help me understand these visors

Just confirmed that with a text from DeadheadNM, I sold him a set of visors that he is redoing. I asked him the same question he said the clip end is separate.

Good news, Thank you so much for checking and letting me know. Bad news I’m sure that piece will be so simple to find. Haha I think I’ll pm deadhead because it is a bit confusing as to how such a small piece could stay in the sleeve. There is literally 1/2-3/4 inch space. And then once the exposed end is attached to the clip I can’t see how the little piece could stay in if one were to attempt to unattach from the clip. I’m sure he can help shed some light.

Or perhaps deadhead could post on here for all to see and learn. Please.
