Re: 1950 chevy 3600 brake help

You might check and see if there is a brake and clutch shop in your area that still rebuilds brake shoes.

On the other hand looking at both Napaonline and Autozone they show a 141 brake shoe that is 11 x 1-3/4 for both front and rear. Does your truck have a 50 rear axle in it or does it possibly have a later rear axle with Bendix brakes? A clear photo of what you have might help.

Huck brakes like the front probably has will have adjuster wheels on the sides of the wheel cylinder while Bendix brakes will have the adjuster at the bottom like most later model rigs with drum brakes do.

77 C 30 dualie, 454, 4 speed with a 10 foot flatbed and hoist. It does the heavy work and hauls the projects around.

Re: 1950 chevy 3600 brake help

this has the Hucks brakes and to the best of my knowledge it is the origonal rear end. The anchor pin is roughly a 1/4 in larger in Dia. than the front
