86 Sierra, 6x9s in factory rear brackets? No problem! Dynomat?

Bit of a hack job but I got my Pioneer 6x9s into the factory corner 4x10 brackets. It will do for now until I get a better setup. Didn't have to flip and reverse the cab corners of the brackets - I drive with the seat all the way back and it doesn't touch the speakers.

My question is, I seem to be losing some sound volume/fill down into the cab corners. Anyone make a pocket or dynomat the back area of the speakers? That cardboard tray I think needs to go lol

Those brackets are eventually what I'll get to, with shipping etc to Canada it's a bit too much for me right now (no issue with the price, just not in the budget at this point)

So you just dynomat'd the pocket where you could reach?

I put the FatMat on my back wall, and also stuffed some of that blue denim insulation up in the corners, behind the speakers. I also have the cardboard tray and put speaker carpet on it, and the original speaker brackets.

Your Welcome.

I was just looking around at USA1 Industries, and found a new product. If you want to lose the cardboard tray, which BTW this place has new ones.

And here's the tray:

I just installed one of the carpets. It goes all the way to the glass and fits the contour of the back wall very well. I got it from OC Carpets. I think it was a little cheaper.
