Questions on axel swap

Picked up a 76 chevy 4x4 shortbed the other day and it has some money into the suspension. My question is can I swap it out with a 71 blazers axel and suspension?
Any input would be great, thanks.

Re: Questions on axel swap

not sure on the leaf springs, but the front axle should bolt right in, rear you will probably have to move the spring perches

Re: Questions on axel swap

Front axle is a direct replacement. Rear axle requires relocating both the spring perches and the shock mounts. Rear springs should be 52” on a short square body and are direct replacements. Some squares had 56” springs but I don’t think 1/2 ton trucks did, but never say never.

The front springs are not interchangeable. They are too long for a 69-72.
