stuped question......
im hooking up my new harness and was wondering do i need to run a cyloniod? if so how do i hook it up? ime redoing all the wireing in the truck and its my machanical weak point so ill take all the help i can get. lol thank you -kyle

u mean a starter solenoid...??? I think you gotta have one of those if you wanna start your engine... what kinda harness are you using...???

he little solenoid up bt the batt the starter solenoid is on the starter correct? i got the mod harness for hei as well was the harness for the int reg alt thanks-kyle

Do I understand you correctly? Are you saying you have two solenoids? One mounted on the starter and one up near the battery? Could you tell us where the wires for the one by the battery go (or used to go)? Maybe post a picture?
If I were to speculate, I'd say someone wired in a Ford starter solenoid. It's not a terribly uncommon thing to see.
