Front control arms that lower on bags

In the middle of my project which includes air. I notched the rear so that it could go as low as possible in the trailing arms. Basically hitting the internal bump stops on the bags. I was afraid of the rear not sitting low enough like I see in some trucks on air on here. Now my rear is sitting nearly 2” lower than the front. Short of cupping the lower control arms are there any companies that make lower control arms that would drop the front more? I thought I read somewhere that the ridetech lower arms do but can’t seem to find anything again.

Think Michigan metal works does. Ridetech does not

Are the lower control arms sitting on the floor? Have you cupped the lower control arms?

No control arms are probably 2-3” above the ground. No I haven’t cupped them. I’d rather buy control arms than do that. But I may have to go that way.

Are the bump stops cut off? Post a pic of how the front bags are installed.

Yea the bump stops are off the control arms. I think it’s just sitting on the internal bump stops if the bags.

Look at Ridetech, Thorbecke Bros. or Michigan Metal Works.
They,... like cupped stock arms will allow the front to go lower,... but the negative camber of the front wheels air'd out is excessive in my opinion.
A raised stock crossmember, or aftermarket crossmember like Porterbuilt sells would be the best option.

Re: Front control arms that lower on bags

Looking at the upper ball joint you may be at the limit of travel on that one. Keith has valid points on making mods to the front may be the next step. I would think about what you want your final ride height to be and where you want to be aired out and make a plan based on the suspension geometry in the front being in a good place for drivability and make mods from there. It may mean doing a cross member swap.

Re: Front control arms that lower on bags

seems like if I buy a set of upper and lower controls arms it will fix the ball joint issue and other suspension geometry issues. Here are my measurements all the way aired out from the ground to the top of the wheel arch. Rear is just about 2” lower. Also threw in a picture of my rear setup for future if anyone runs across this.

Unfortunately the crossover for the turbo will probably have to rebuilt if I go 2” lower in the front.

Re: Front control arms that lower on bags

I got the ridetech lower control arms on and sits much better.
