Transmission Linkage Help - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Does anyone have picture or diagram showing the linkage between the bracket on the frame and the transmission? Something isn’t correctly installed on mine. Worked for 20yrs. Came apart during the restoration and something didn’t go together correctly. The bell crank that the shifting rod from the column connects to isn’t on a straight line between the frame and shifting arm on the transmission. Causing it uncouple at the transmission. And can’t find my manual. Any help is appreciated. Because this always happens at the wrong time.

More info would be good. Here is a generic diagram. It makes a difference whether it is a 2wd, 4wd, SBC, BBC TH350 or TH400.

Thanks Loc Doc! This is what I needed to verify what logic told me. It’s a 2 Wd small block. I have the 700r4 in it. Like I said. It worked flawlessly for years and just started acting up since I got it out of the shop.
