v-8 bell housing that support Hydo clutch

Will I have better luck finding a pot of gold at the end of a rainbow?

I am swapping out my 305 V-6, and the old bell housing will not fit on the 350 that I plan on putting in the rig. How do I get a hydraulic bell housing on the v-8?

Or, do I need to start thinking about mechanical linkage? Is that easier to put in the rig than searching high and low for the bell housing?

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks!

Brandon,

I have considered putting an hydraulic clutch on my '71. The part that I could never figure out is how I would manage to get the master cylinder installed. I think that would be much more difficult than swapping a bellhousing.

I suppose that any bellhousing after they started using hydraulic clutches (late '70s) would do the trick. If you're at the junkyard, you'd almost certainly want to also grab the master cylinder, slave cylinder, and probably the pedal assembly.
