Aftermarket brake booster question
After getting Clyde all prettied up, I opened the hood to replace the battery and even after all the clean up and touch up, there isn’t much nice to say about under the hood.
The master and booster were sourced about 25 years ago, so I am thinking about replacing with an after market kit, would like y’all a input on what’s available. CPP POL MPB Also any suggestions you may have to put a little bling under the hood would be appreciated. This is the only pic I have that actually shows most under the hood, pretty dirty and it isn’t dirty now. The inner fenders and core support were all powdercoated black also.

Re: Aftermarket brake booster question
They all sell pretty much the same universal aftermarket booster with a universal mounting bracket that does not attach the booster correctly to the firewall and pedal bracket.

Re: Aftermarket brake booster question
The guy who I bought my box of parts truck from swore up and down the 8" brake booster he bought would fit the firewall. It was the normal GM bracket you see on boosters now days. He was sold on it by the phone sales guy at CPP quite a few years ago. It didn't of course. I did go with Captainfab's bracket and a 10" gm booster booster, works like a champ.

Re: Aftermarket brake booster question
Ebay. I bought a general GM 10 inch booster as I recall. Not a very good recall I see... sorry.

Re: Aftermarket brake booster question
Master Power Brakes has a new setup that is like the factory type. It has a "bell crank" pivot that allows you to put the push rod in the stock manual brake hole (versus having to drill one an 1" lower). Very slick setup and should be great quality based on other units I have used from them in the past.
