My '76 GMC has a busted grille. I'd like to go with one of the aftermarket custom grilles. I'd be interested in seeing some pics of what you folks have done and finding out where you bought them.

it very hard to find.. for gmc grille i been looking for
nice used or new grill for my 78 gmc 3/4 ton pickup....

A old friend of mine walked into the Chevy place back in 1976 to buy a new truck.
He looked at the trucks and made this comment to the salesmen;
"Does a spare grill come with this truck?"
The salesmen wasn't too bright so he said "whata you mean?"
My buddy said "that plastic POS grill won't last the ride home"

The salesmen got a bit huffed over that!

I believe that trenz makes my billet grille. Its very pretty.

Very thin billet stretched straight across the front. Ill dig up a picture once I find it.

There is a 78 my buddy found That I can have for 50 bux, but it is perty beat!

I am thinking of makin my own grill. Just go to Ace Hardware. Buy those long strip of metal. Get the Measurments....Some...very minor welding for the screw brackets...and wam! A new grill hehe. Of course thats just a rough drawing lol. I'm sure it will take me a lil while haha.

thanks. If I remember right, I think I got it out of LMC...I like the billet aluminum because you get a bit more modern look.

I got my billet grille locally from a custom truck shop. Had to order it and paid about $150 or so if I remember right. I Love it
Mine isn't a 76 so it has a different look but I think they look good on all years.

Update the front clip to a 91 Suburban front end. It looks absolutely gorgeous! In my opinion, a stock grille looks better than the billet ones.

A sweet idea would be puting in a phantom grill(as I've done to my truck) or else the other plan that I had was an upgraded grill such as 88+.

Yeah, not a GM, but I love it. 1969 GMC 32,000 - fix, drive, relax, fix... 2019 BMW R1250 GSA - Yahoooooooo 1979 Honda GL 1000 - retro touring at its best. Past: '05 Sierra 4x4 - Had 270,000 KM and running well when it was written-off by a stop sign runner. '94 F-150 from the "F word" company. I'll admit it...good truck. Sold what was left of it for $800 to a guy who came to pick it up at 11:00 PM with cash in hand. Hmm. '79 Sierra Grande (Black) organ donor - perfect rebuildable 4-bolt 350 and a good TH350. '76 Sierra Grande (Orange) - hate isn't too strong a word. Kid who bought it turned it into a hot rod. '68 C-10 R.I.P. - Dad's old truck...too far gone to resurrect. '59 C-50 - with hoist. Truck is gone, wife isn't. Nuff said.
