LS Motor advice
LS guru's, I found an 04 5.3 LS for my swap complete with motor/tranny/ECM/harness for $1700 with 105k miles and it is drive by wire. Also it is close enough to me to drive out and pick it up. My only question is should I try to find one that is DBC for simplicity and good throttle response or is DBW just as good? I'm a burnout kind of guy so does the DBW hesitate if it senses wheels slipping or is that just with traction control? Thanks.

DBW is just as simple as DBC in reality. You wont have traction control so it wont stop the throttle at all.

I've done 2 LS swaps. One DBW and one DBC.
The DBW actually has better response than my DBC setup. Your not going to have any issues with the DBW and wheel spin. Plus, the full package of you found for $1700 is a good price. Just make sure you get the pedal and TAC module with the motor. It will save some headaches

Just make sure you've got the whole system, pedal to throttle blade including harness (and to NOT modify the pedal harness or fab a replacement). The throttle will be plenty responsive, and will not do traction control because you won't have the wheel speed sensors or any of that.
