I was just wondering if anyone knows if this is where the factory jack sat in a blazer?? Just a pic off the internet I found.

In the CST model, there is a bracket and spring fastener behind the drivers seat (on the 6-inch vertical wall there.

I've never actually seen one mounted there. Can someone share pics?

I don't think so.....I believe it goes right behind the drivers seat, before it steps up to the rear floor

Although the spring behind the driver's seat seems to make sense, my jack has 1 hole in the base plate where a guy could bolt it to the floor (wingnut?). or maybe it mounted on the carriage bolt that holds the spare to the bracket.

Just thinking of other ways to solve the mystery.

On my Jimmy, it was on the step up behind he drivers seat. Looked as though it had never been used.

This issue has become the missing link on our blazers. I have ask many folks no one seems to know. but as I said before- I got my first blazer 25yrs ago from the originial owner. I lifted my blazer so I got a higher bottle jack. I took my factory jack out. Still have it. I remember thinking how neat it was that it was all right there. Again The jack fits under the spring horizonal as best I can remember. The small lug wrench was behind it and some how the scissors that lift the jack was sitting on the clips at each end. One day someone will go into a junkyard and there will sit and ratty blazer. Not a decent part on it. someone will look inside and there will be the jack and its parts istalled in that rig the way it came from the factory. Mystery sloved. Until then we will all have to keep on searchin

just wondering if anyone has a picture of how the 72 cst blazer jack and tire iron would go I do not have a hole in the floor by the spare tire holder in the back so I'm not sure how the jack is held down or where .... thanks

The lug wrench and jack handle are located on the step up behind the driver's seat. Held in place with a long spring and hook.

The jack is located between the legs of the interior spare tire holder. It lays on its side and is held in place with another spring and hook. Just as shown in Rawhedrix's picture.

thanks but I do not have a hole in the floor so I don't think my jack was mounted there I have a 72 cst blazer
