Panhard bar for square body rear in my 65?

I've put a 84 front crossmember with 3" drop spindles in my 65 frame and I want to put the square body rear in back. I've got Jeep Cherokee coils for a 4" drop in back. Won't be a problem to weld the perches on. I'll match the pinion angle of the original rear. What are others doing for a panhard bar?

While I don't have the same combination that you have, I run an Early Classics track bar from the driver side frame to the passenger side trailing arm.

That looks like what I need except it says for 5" drop and more. I wonder if the geometry would be okay for 4" drop?

You won't want to match the pinion angle of the original rearend. You'll want to set it at what pinion angle the drop requires. Otherwise you'll need to shim it, to be correct later.

Yes you're right. I'm doing an LS conversion and I'm actually thinking I'll set my motor and tranny in the bare frame as soon as I get the trans back from rebuild. The stock rear is still in place. I'll be able check pinion angles and adjust the perches on the newer axle.

Re: Panhard bar for square body rear in my 65?

I had the super track bar from ECE installed, I switched to the one from POL as it mounts to the pass side trailing arm lower to preclude possibly hitting the frame on that side. My frame is C'd also so it may make a difference.
