EFI fuel tanks

Starting to research on fuel.

Im thinking of using the TANCINC drop in pump and sender rather than external pump.

For a 300HP street only truck - do I really need a baffled EFI tank .... or can I reuse the existing tank. Not sure if that pump will work with OEM tank .... but can find out.

Else guess I'll just drop and relocate to rear like everyone else ... but the fuel fillup neck is a little harder on a suburban than "bed only" standard truck.

Re: EFI fuel tanks

I did the Aeromotive stealth setup in my suburban tank and it worked perfectly. Easy to install and get plumbed

Re: EFI fuel tanks

Thanks.

I started a general thread (non efi specific) as not have a fitment issue.

Want to keep tank on frame rail so I can keep tire under bed. And dont want to have to deal with centering the 8.8 rear.

Thinking a shorter tank and a 2" driveshaft.

Re: EFI fuel tanks

I wouldn't run a non baffled tank anymore imo, tho I run an external and use a bit more fuel than some of yall. Going from 70mph, decel down an offramp and hit a 90* intersection at the end; if i wasn't well over 1/3 tank it was possible to draw air and would stutter on the outlet of the corner. That was with a 15gal cell between the rear rails.

We added tank foam to help the issue until finally switching to a sumped/baffled/foamed cell a little while back.
