Valve Lash adj.
Hydraulic Flat tappet cam. Last one I put in @ +1/2 turn, another book says 3/4.
Not the point here: What I see in another book is to set them @ 0 lash, Here's the Quote;" To maximize the cam's timing characteristics (particularly w/stock or near stock cams)try setting the lash @ zero only. This can add a little lift and timing duration for slight gains in performance. Just be prepared to make more frequent lash adjustments if this becomes your method of tuning" Interesting, sounds like something to try. Any comments?? Last edited by akart; 01-07-2019 at 05:12 PM. Re: Valve Lash adj.
I like to go a 1/2 turn so I don't have to think about them again. I used to play with 0 lash and then you get a tick once in a while or think you are hearing tick and always question the lash adjustment. I give 'em the 1/2 turn and forget about it. If I hear a tick it isn't the valves.
