My New Tailgate
I made this simple tailgate to go on the back of the homebuilt bed I made for the 1947 3600 I am working on. It was my wife's uncle's truck. He passed in 1994 at 39, and I've had it ever since. It was full of holes, farmer patches, and guess what's - and about time to restore it. I used some of the pieces from the original bed sides to make small items (like the Chevy emblem) and pipe from his ladder rack to make the top and bottom of the tailgate. Even though it won't be ALL of what was his, there will still be parts .... |

nice thought on the handle too (I assume it's a handle on the top left? didn't zoom the pic in to see and it is all the same color) |

Re: My New Tailgate
WELLL....I haven't come up with any ....yet! I'm open to suggestions! The "handle" you see is actually a clamp to hold everything in place....
