Re: double jump seat???
I think it's a great idea. I had thought about doing that but I couldn't find any frames in good shape for a reasonable price. That's when I came up with my "phantom" bucket seats made from two bench seats. I'd like to see it done.

Re: double jump seat???
I like that concept. This way you can crawl into the back from either side or via the center opening. Great place for the dog to sit as well between the seats.

Re: double jump seat???
Looks like a good idea until you hit the brakes you would need to incorporate some kind of a safety latch or a padded windshield LOL

Re: double jump seat???
i thought it would give more space, since its smaller then the main seat on panels and vans. im just kicking the idea around.

Re: double jump seat???
I thought about doing this on my '61 Suburban. The 1-ton panel trucks had two buckets.
I've also thought about doing this on my '62 K10 project. For both it'd give me room for a center console, and for the K10 it would make behind-the-seat storage access a lot easier. (gas tank is going under the bed).

Re: double jump seat???
A friend of mine has a 1964 suburban never liked riding in the passenger seat always afraid if he hit the brakes too hard it would fold up with me in it LMAO
