My old truck was used in a Hagerty Article!
I restored this truck while living in Fairbanks, Alaska. Parts were not cheap and it was much harder than restoring a vehicle in the lower 48. Kept me sane through several Fairbanks winters though. I bought the truck in the middle of winter for $1500. It had been imported up from Washington a few years before. On the way home I passed a Moose that was about 5 feet off the road to my right. Road was covered in ice so I could do nothing but, hope he didn’t cross. Good times! I brought the truck down to Washington when I got relocated for work and sold it on eBay to a dealer back east shortly after to help fund the purchase of a property. I think I got $11,000 for it and I think the dealer for $16,500 for it at Mecum. I learned quite a bit with that truck and it was my first 4x4 67-72. I can’t seem to stay away from them now. It’s the second truck in the article.

I saw that article a while back. Was wondering if any of the trucks belonged to forum members. Nice truck!

Nice truck! And to be honest, pretty good article, definitely worth reading. Most car mags don' really understand a thing about these trucks, but the author seems to know his stuff.

Take the cab off to find the frame VIN?! What's wrong with the other location on the frame by the power steering pump? At least for the '71 and '72 models?
