Starting a complete rewire job
Starting a complete rewire job on my 72 c10. I have an aaw 20 circuit harness kit. And started to take some stuff apart and noticed something that I have no clue about. Maybe you could help me out. The little red button is under the dash and the black box is in driver door.

Re: Starting a complete rewire job
That look's like a power door actuator, not standard equipment.

DONT PUSH THE RED BUTTON! Lol. It’s a momentary switch usually used for stuff like an alarm system, maybe a home brew kill switch or something else though.

Re: Starting a complete rewire job
Could be for anything.. Looks like a door lock actuator.. Is the red button wired to it? One thing for certain -- it's not factory installed equipment.. Only the person who installed it knows for sure.. Is there any way you can get in touch with that person???

Trace the wires then you'll know.
