Re: Cool fuel lines , What are you using ?
Looks good Grumpy- they both do. The biggest difference between the two is Grumpy's grade 8 bolt in the rubber hose- when in doubt, always go HD

Re: Cool fuel lines , What are you using ?
if you notice there are no carb studs either , it's just a mock up . When I got this engine I did a run up and just plugged all the vacuum lines . the grade eight bolt was handy . the benefits of a small block if the timing is close and you have air/fuel and compression it's gonna run , No computers needed .

Re: Cool fuel lines , What are you using ?
I bent my own and attached it to a Summit Racing adjustable dual feed with a big brass filter in the gauge housing.

Actually it's brake line you can buy at your local Napa.

Re: Cool fuel lines , What are you using ?
When I replaced my fuel pump, I went with an edelbrock filter and hard line to the carb, with their braided line from the pump.

Re: Cool fuel lines , What are you using ?
Hey, Fuzzy, what's that device in front of the carb? Looks like a fuel pressure regulator,
but the 2 electric leads and 3 input/output lines have me confused.

Re: Cool fuel lines , What are you using ?
But of course. Way over my head. Pardon my ignorance. I won't show my fuel line which seems like a short -hunk-of-recycled-garden-hose-from-the-jerry-can-on-the-roofrack, by comparison with you guys'

That is funny '68OrangeSunshine. That probably needs to go in a new thread titled "rubber hose or garden hose fuel lines, does it make a difference?"

Re: Cool fuel lines , What are you using ?
It is fun seeing the super-duper stuff you guys are doing. Is this line there so you can move the truck around and use the steering before it is all put together?

Re: Cool fuel lines , What are you using ?
[QUOTE=68bowtie;8570459] Oh and I painted my intake too...
Back in the 70's when we were street racing for $ we would paint the aluminum intakes to try to fool the other guy we were racing into thinking our engines were stock . Because who would paint an aluminum intake ? We would use big air cleaners (flipped lid of course ) rams horn manifolds and a few other little hidden tricks ...More on that later ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wIFMaj8wSvo https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GCJC8rPKaeA

Re: Cool fuel lines , What are you using ?
I run QuadraJets, so I just use factory metal line or bend one up from brake line. My engine dress-up is more like dressing down. The orange paint is the brightest thing, unless ARP bolts aren't painted. I use Alumina-Blast on things I want silver. I sandblasted the chrome Edelbrock air cleaner and Alumina-Blasted that. Vintage Edelbrock finned aluminum valve covers are tarnished, so it all matches. All new aluminum parts get the acid dip to tarnish

Not good at bending lines, did steel braided on the 69.
