Help Identify this Wheel
Need help from the wheel guru's. This wheel was under my truck when I bought truck, the other wheels on truck were square body rally's. Can anyone tell by the picture if this wheel might have been original to my 71 K1500. I want to find some steel 6 lug steel wheels for my truck, but this wheel looks different with the hub cap tangs sticking out. Thanks

Re: Help Identify this Wheel
Ummm, The General switched to 5 lug wheels and factory front disc brakes in 1971. So it sounds like you have more issues than the wrong wheel.
Oh wait, I can't see your profile pic very good. Your truck 4x4? If so, yes 6 lug, but no hub cap clips past 67-68. Last edited by cypressbog; 08-02-2019 at 02:42 PM. |

It would have to be 68 back to have those hubcap clips.

Re: Help Identify this Wheel
I cannot tell you where it came from but I have at least one just like it on my 67. If I can find me a set of square body rallys it will be up for grabs.

Re: Help Identify this Wheel
It's old!!! Pickups in the 50's and early 60's had the clips. I do not know if any other make used 6 lugs. I believe cars used 6 lugs before 55, anyone else?

Re: Help Identify this Wheel
Try to find a date stamp on it. The width may also narrow it down as well. The oldest C10 I have had is a 63 and it did not have the hub cap clips.
