1966 door glass - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Does anyone know a supplier that sells a door glass for a 1966 truck that has the metal surround frame already on. Or maybe a member that has a good used one? I've looked online but none of the dealers says if the frame is on the glass and you can't tell by looking at their pictures.

I've never seen a 66 with a metal frame around the window. Are you sure you have a 66?

I'll have to go look. It's not my truck. Belongs to a friend of mine that said it's a '66. Thanks for the response.

It's a '63.

The '60-'63 door glass is completely different than the '64-'66 glass. I do not know of any where to buy door glass with the metal frame. Not all '60-'63's had the metal frame around the glass. You might see if a local glass shop can cut the glass for you and install the metal frame around it for you. That is assuming you have the frame. The other option is to convert to the frameless glass

I parted out a 66 GMC 4000 that had the metal frame around the door glass. I think maybe it was a big truck thing in 64-66. Dads 60 1/2 ton has the metal frames also.
