Chrome Plating questions
Sent two radio faceplates to chrome shop in Tennessee for refinish. Cost with shipping was $190.
I could've backed out since they called with estimate before refinishing, but I decided to get them done anyway. Does anyone know of a shop that does work cheaper ?? Or is the plating business that expensive ? I'm happy with the results, just like to know if I can do better next time. edit: S & H Chrome, Madison Tn did my stuff.

Re: Chrome Plating questions
There was one member who had found a chrome shop replate his radio bezels for $25.00 a piece . someone will pop up with the info / thread , Chrome isn't cheap I've had pieces done and still have more to go , Knox chrome had good prices but they closed when he retired last year . I had my 67 grille bezels /headlight bezels/ grille shelves and cowl intake done a while back . and still have a pile to go .

Re: Chrome Plating questions
For smaller items I have used,
Northwest Metal Finishing 1003 Shaver St, Springdale, AR 72762 Phone: (479) 751-4721 It's pretty low key operation, but I have been happy with their work and prices. It's been a while since they did anything for me. I am going to be taking some parts to these people soon. Pricey, but they do great work and options are few these days. They do door handles and such. Whitworx Fine Metal Finishing 216 S. Starr Ave. Lincoln, AR 72744 United States Phone: (479) 824-4446

Re: Chrome Plating questions
I have a place in PA I use but never did any radio faces yet. It's hard to say. I never know until they see it. But they are not as expensive as others. I have pieces I need to get done, too. Including a radio face. That radio face looks fantastic.

Re: Chrome Plating questions
I just sent an email to St Louis Plating about sending them some parts for chrome and they responded in less than 30 minutes , The prices they quoted me are pretty good ! The turn around time right now is about 4 weeks . I'm shipping some parts out Monday .
