need tire help please
im getting really close to needing new tires for the truck, since the drop i cant move it cause the 31'' tire rub on the fenders.ill attach a pic of the height w/a 235/75 and the 31'' and i would like a size recomendation, also what does the first # ex.235 and the secc ex. 75 mean wjen your dealig tires? thanks -kyle

The first number is the width in mm., the second is a percentage of the width in height...
235 mm's wide, the sidewall is 75% of that tall... |

Try this it'll give you a visual
http://www.toolmandesign.com/tireapps/tirecalc.html If you are running ralleys, the 235-75 is about an inch shorter than the 31x150 tire. A 255x70 is about same hiegth as the 235-75...if you need more clearance a 275x60 is about an inch shorter than the 235, but the width may cause problems. I wouldn't go smaller than a 255 x60 for a tire...but that is me.

I think these trucks look great with 255/60-15 tires in front (on a 15x8 wheel) and 275/60-15 tires on the back (on either a 15x8 or 15x10). I've got some pics of my truck with 15x8's all around and 255/60's all around on the website in my signature

Oh, BTW, 75 is the aspect ratio of the tire. It means that the sidewall is 75% of the height of the tire tread with.....so the lower the aspect ratio, the shorter the sidewall

well the truck is dropped 4.5 in the front w/ spindals + springs
