body "J" clips

Any sources out there for the clips to mount front inner fenders to front fenders. Hoping NAPA might be able to get them, but hav'nt called them. These kids today wouldn't know where to look on their computer if I don't give them a part number

GMC Pauls has them, but shipping will be 2 or 3 days

Re: body "J" clips

Believe it or not, I found these recently at Lowe's for my tractor hood, which is also a 1970. I guess it depends on your area too, mine is both residential and rural

68panelman got it right, wiped out entire stock. they had two types, long and short thread

Richard, for some reason I didn't think of them

71 blazer, they must have a truck waiting for me to order, if I order before 3pm, I have by 10am, amazing

trans. pan was a success, 3rd time!!!

working on brakes, lost the clip, sorta found them a NAPA, inverted flare fitting still needed to be sourced, I have 1/4" ni cop, but fitting is 3/16"

So, my punch list is getting shorter
j clips to mount my inner fenders(check)
rear brake lines 1/4" inverted flare
ps belt woodruff key and nut (check)
trans pan (check)
aluminum torque converter cover needs studs 1/4-20"
flare tubing rear brakes
install pass. side brake caliper, I would like to have them resleeved in SS
work on transfer case cover, seem to think i lost the roller bearings
rear diff. cover gasket

Re: body "J" clips

Jim
I have ordered all the way up to 6pm before and still get it the next day between 930 & 11am. Seems a few months back they must have made a deal with UPS because everything used to ship ground (which i still always get next day but in the afternoon) now everything goes out next day air and I get it in the morning. What they charge for next day air is unreal. I can get a box of bolts say 8lbs and a foot square and the next day charge is only like 6-8 bucks. If I had to ship the same exact thing back to them, even using ground rates, it would cost me probably $20. I would hate to guess how many people are in the shipping dept for them

Mc Masters shipping has always brought me back, its easier then going to the hardware store, if you can find one anymore.

panelman, none up here, I don't know how long it takes to restock, but I let them know they are out of stock
Thaanks for the tip, saved me days of not working on the truck
