76 Bicentennial Chevy?
It’s been a long time that I’ve been here but I’m needing help. I got a chance at buying this 76 shortwide. The gentleman selling it is telling me it’s a bicentennial. I’ve done a lil research but all I can come up with is that the 76 bicentennial was a 4wd. The truck seems to have the original paint and in good condition. It’s been stored for 16yrs. Anybody with any info on these trucks please help.

Re: 76 Bicentennial Chevy?
That paint scheme doesn't match the spirit of 76 trucks....and they had a door badge on them also..

Re: 76 Bicentennial Chevy?
My parents had a white 76 C30 C&C bicentennial truck so not limited to 4x4. The paint was a lot more low key than many... Might have been a dealer thing since I didn't see any w/ exactly that paint in the link.

Re: 76 Bicentennial Chevy?
While it *may* not be a factory bicentennial edition based on the above, it does look cool.

Re: 76 Bicentennial Chevy?
back in the day sometimes dealers or a region would special order a bunch of vehicles in a certain color scheme and options and make them an edition for the area or the dealership. there were alot of Blue Cloud editions for the Nova and Caprice back int he day dark blue car silver vynal roof and some premium options . Only thing i remember from back int he day was the pirit of 76 truck pictured above

Re: 76 Bicentennial Chevy?
It's got a '73/74 grille, fender emblems are correct for a '76 though- only way to find out if it's a real sport or even a '76 is to get a picture of the SPID. Some interior pictures would be helpful too.

Re: 76 Bicentennial Chevy?
Never saw a 1976 Chevy Sport fleetside, only stepside. 1977 had both fleetside and stepside.
