66 3/4 D60 leaf spring rear and HO52 no spin coil spring rear

I have a '66 D60 leaf spring rear with 4.56 gears. This was in a K20 35"or 36" tires on it. Anyone know WIW I'd like to sell it complete drum to drum.

I may have a chance to pick up a HO52 no spin rear out of a another '66 with coil spring/trailer arms. Not sure of ratio, it's either a 4:10 or 4:56
Not sure of value or if it's worth messing with

Lmk on both thx.

If it’s 4.10 or a no spin it’s definitely worth messing with. The no spin will swap into any Eaton and there are multiple wtb adds for the 4.10 in the 67-72. Unsure if you know but with the eaton all you have to do is swap center sections so the whole axle isn’t necessary. I myself swapped the locker to get my setup and have been looking for another.

Re: 66 3/4 D60 leaf spring rear and HO52 no spin coil spring rear

here is a recent WTB ad for HO52 no spin WTB HO52/HO72 Posi

complete axles and no spin third members range $250 - $500 from what I've seen..

I bought this HO52 no spin third loaded with 4:10 gears for $250 delivered thanks to good friend..

the no spin diffs are no longer manufactured so it's more a seller's market..

there are axles swap options but they aren't necessarily always cheap either..

and the purest will prefer the factory Eaton anyway..

as for the Dana 60, there are certain years and axle splines less desirable but late 60s I believe are wanted..

again though, depends on the buyer's application as to what they'll pay..

I bought this 66 D60 4:10 limited slip, colloquially known as posi, leaf sprung axle drum to drum for $400 in socal..

hope that helps, good luck!

Thank you for the reply. I ended up getting the no spin Eaton, but it has 4.57 gears.
I thought the 3rd member would swap out with another. The other thing I got with the rear was a set of 4 17.5 wheels and a 292 air cleaner. I can post pics later of the rear later.

Not as many are after the 4.56 gears but the locker itself is still a desirable item and can be put back in any center section

Killer Bee thanks for weighing in, much appreciated. The no spin HO52 has 4.57 gear. Also, it came with 17.5 wheels, so I got the set all 4 no hub caps tho.

The D60 is a 4.56 open rear with 16.5 wheels that had really tall tires and was in a 4wd. So I guess it's up to the market as far as value.

Again thanks.

I bet it was a 71-72 and someone grabbed the hubs for the larger studs.

That's possible because I don't know if the D60 was original to the truck.
