1969 bowtie

The blue inside my bowtie emblem on the hood's in bad shape . How does this bowtie piece come off ? Thanks !!

Open the hood. There is access behind there to reach the two nuts holding it on.

Once you get the emblem off, it's a major pain to remove the plastic from the emblem. When I tried, the die-cast metal tangs broke. So, I got one of these. It's actually better quality than mine was when the truck was new.
