tilt column rebuild question

Just wondering if this tilt column shoe release is bent or if it’s supposed to be this way.

Thanks
Jason

Re: tilt column rebuild question

Thanks. I couldn’t find a picture of it in all my searches. It was like that when i took it apart. The tilt did work fine but I’ll straighten it as best as I can. I’m sure it would be near impossible to find another one

Re: tilt column rebuild question

70shortfleet is right, it's not bent. I went to take one apart and that bent part is on the opposite side of what I was looking at. You can just see it in this pic on the upper side next to the left side lock shoe. Sorry for any confusion.
