DBW pedal in a 55.5-59 truck cab
Hi there, new member here. I am working on a 1959 Chevy Apache. I am using a 56 cab. The engine is a 2005 5.3L from a chevy Tahoe. I did get the DBW pedal setup from the donor vehicle but not sure it is gonna work in this cab. It looks pretty terrible when I hold it up to the firewall.
What DBW pedals are you using in the task force era cabs? I don't have a wiring harness yet, probably going to use Holley Terminator X Max. Thanks |

Re: DBW pedal in a 55.5-59 truck cab
Welcome....
You need to keep, the pedal you have...I modified the mount on a dbw pedal to fit against the firewall and toe board...also changed the offset in the pedal arm...got any pics of your issues?

Re: DBW pedal in a 55.5-59 truck cab
When I did my Dad's '59 Apache 5.3 DBW swap we cut the Silverado arm off at the bend, then got a donor pedal from a 80's C10. Marked the travel path so when the DBW was at WOT, the C10 pedal was just above the carpet. Tack welded in place, then rechecked before welding completely.
Sorry no pic, been 10+ years and the truck has since been sold.
