New project

Thought I would check in and say hi. And let y’all know what I’m up to. I’m fairly new here unless you count lurking in the shadows reading and learning from you guys. I recently brought home a nice swb frame from a “69” gmc. I say frame because the cab was trashed some one had cut a hole in roof back in the 80’s for that cool sun roof look that everyone seemed to love and it destroyed the whole cab the only salvageable part was the doors and front cowl section. I will post updates as the build goes along I’ve got parts in order as of right now I’m going with a parallel 4 link I’ve got a lot of plans to turn this truck into a 67 pro touring tire smoking monster. But I’m going to leave future plans and parts unsaid until I have them on order or in my garage..take care guys

Re: New project

Thanks, I Posted a few pictures the other day. Started my own build thread so I have a place to share and go back and look at what I’ve done and to help with self motivation later down the road. it is going to be a lengthy build as most are. But I’m building this truck for me and the way I want it. so I plan to take my time and build a truck I would call perfect. It’s a shame how expensive good parts are but I go by the buy once cry once theory. You really get what you pay for with quality brand name components MOST of the time. That being said I ordered a few things the other day will post updates on my thread as they arrive. Once again thanks guys I hope we can all learn something here from each other!
