4th door, lower sill rocker area

I am in the process of putting new interior, carpet, and sound deadener on the floor. The 4th door area has gap that over the years has collected dirt and moisture.
My question is, while all the interior is out should I caulk or silicone the gap area between the non opening door and the floor to prevent a "catch all for water and moisture, or does that area have a drain hole in it in the event that water gets trapped in there

Should be a drain in the bottom rocker panel. Make sure they are open. I see no reason you couldn't seal it up. I would use a stock type sealant, not silicone.... Blow it out good with an air nozzle first.

Doc is correct there are drains. If you do seal the gap remember that any water that makes it inside of the rear of the truck will travel forward ending up under the rear seat. The floorboard under the rear seat has close to 1 inch of crown to it so there will be a good chance the moisture will have nowhere to escape if you seal it up.

This is so weird. Something that has never even crossed my mind, but makes sense.
And I agree that looks to have some very nice metal.
