17.5-inch 3/4-ton wheels?
I found a set of 17.5-inch 3/4 ton wheels this weekend. Are they worth getting?

no....you cant find but one bias ply tire for them...
I have a set of 17.5s for a IH...some people in the IH world send them off and have new 17 or 18 in bands welded to the centers because of the IH 6 lug 7-1/2" bolt pattern

Re: 17.5-inch 3/4-ton wheels?
They are absolutely worth getting. They were standard issue wheels then but are increasingly hard to find today. These are the single piece wheels for tubeless tires we are talking about, correct? Modern tires are easy enough to find in that size, and any tire store can mount them, unlike many of the multi-piece wheels that were offered as heavy duty options back in the day.
If you don't want them, I would appreciate you passing the info on to me, as i could use another set. |

not to argue , but if you know where there are easy to find 17.5 tires, you had more luck than I did..i could only find one place that still had them and they were bias ply street tires

Yup, that's what it looked like. There was at least one dog-dish hubcap on the truck, too... didn't walk to the other side to look. Time-crunch, recon trip.

Agree 17.5 tires are available. Toyo for example sells them too.
