Re: What is this part?
looks like the wiring channel that goes in the groove behind the pinch weld on the top of the fire wall inside the engine compartment.

Re: What is this part?
Thanks guys.
It is metal with pressed studs so not a wire tray I don't think. DIY Dash Pad...that's good. mystery continues. |

Re: What is this part?
I'm not at the shop right now but here's another angle of it sitting on a 18" wide box. the whole thing is ~3 feet long.
The trim in the box is 68 grill and fender |

Re: What is this part?
Is that a GM parts tag taped to it? With the number?

Re: What is this part?
It looks like a lower under dash support for a Ford Truck.
Do you have a Ford hiding around there somewhere?

Re: What is this part?
maverickmk - The metal is formed from 0.03"-0.04" sheet.
Astro - The trim box it was in (seen in the pic) sat at the house with no Fords around. HO455 - Me too. I can almost picture it in my head and then escapes me. It's possible it got thrown in the box from something else. I'll think of it. Appreciate y'alls help. |

Re: What is this part?
I don't think anything like that came off my 72 unless it is part of the bench seat...I have not disassembled that yet.
Are the 5 short rods threaded? I'm guessing the little baggie contains the nuts?

Re: What is this part?
Yeah, the studs are thread and the nuts are in the bag.
This can't be for our trucks. Way too much brain power here for know one to know Chalk it as - I threw it the box when I was building something else (non-truck)...and didn't need it. Thanks for playing. If i ever remember I'll owe you guys. Cheers! |

Re: What is this part?
It almost looks like the mounting hardware pressed into the 68 hood trim
